Teami 30 Day Detox -Day 2

I still plan to keep you updated on my Teami Detox, so I thought I’d give details now that I’ve started it. I received my kit on Tuesday and was happy to find everything I needed.

I love that they sent a Detox Calendar to keep track of my days. This because tells you which days to do the Skinny Tea and which to add the Teami Colon in the evening. I know it’s every other day, but I like being able to check off each day (I’m definitely a visual person).

I also love the Teami Tumbler that came in the kit. This definitely keeps your tea warm or cold for you for at least a few hours. I used mine with hot tea on Day 1 and drank some of it and then sipped it throughout the morning and it stayed warm for me the entire time. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about it having the loose tea leaves in the tumbler, but the strainer at the top truly keeps all of the pieces strained while you drink it. You can also reuse the same tea leaves throughout the day and the flavor doesn’t fade!

The directions say to use a tablespoon of loose tea, which I did the first morning. I think I may have heaped it too much, since once they hydrate they become big again. Today I used a smaller size spoon and it was plenty. You can add lemon or honey if you’d like– but I think it tastes fine as-is.

Teami’s site gives you some ideas of what you can do to help the process along. There isn’t a specific diet, just suggestions including limiting your coffee intake (I still have one in the morning but skip the 2nd cup), limiting/avoid red meat, and try avoiding processed sugars. There’s a video on Teami’s site that gives you ideas including eating fruit if you have sugar cravings. The idea is that the detox will eventually help limit your sugar cravings, too.

So here’s my thoughts after Day 1. It was very easy to make my Skinny Tea. Literally pour hot water over the loose tea leaves and go. I did feel satisfied after having my tea and I didn’t have a headache like I get on days I skip my second cup of coffee. I also didn’t feel any different until late afternoon when I realized I had to pee a lot more often than usual. Since Day 1 says to just do the Skinny Tea, I haven’t tried the Teami Colon yet. That will be tonight.

I did weigh myself before I started and have dropped .4 of a lb. Now I can’t put much into that since it’s only been 24 hours and I know there are so many factors that could contribute to that drop. While I will be happy dropping a few pounds, my main goal in doing this is to feel less bloated, and slow my sugar cravings. I’ve read a few testimonies that have said it helps with acid reflux and IBS, too. So I think overall, I’m just hoping to feel better!

I’ve receive a few questions on what ingredients are in the detox so I’ve added the list here for you, too:

Teami Skinny Tea:Oolong, Yerba Mate, Lime leaf Extract, Lotus leaf, GingerRoot, Rhubarb Root.

Teami Colon Cleanse Tea:Senna Leaf & Root, Hawthorn Berry Extract, Lotus Leaf, Lime Leaf & Extract, Psyllium Husk Seed, Phaseolus Calcaratus Seed, Rhubarb Root, Poria Cocos Stem Bark, Valerian Root.

Travel, Ways to Save

Ways to Save on Flights

I’ve always had a love for travel. I have done a variety of vacations from weekends in NYC to beach vacations. My husband and I love to travel so much, we even had a destination wedding! Whatever type of getaway I’m looking for, I always try to save some money when I book it. There are quite a few ways to save on travel. I plan to give you all of my tips and secrets. Today, I want to share with you some ways to save money on your flight.

Whenever I plan travel that involves flying, I like to do some research. One of my go-to places is to check out Google Flights. This is by far the best way to track trends on flights from almost all of the airlines. What makes this the best (in my opinion) is that you can see flight prices to your destination for anytime of the year. So if you aren’t set on specific dates you plan to travel, you can scroll the calendar Google Flights provides and watch the prices change. You can also see if the number of days you travel can help you save on your flight, too.

Whenever I start planning travel, I go here first to get an idea of what dates to leave and return based on Google Flight’s results. Now obviously you can’t always be so flexible on the dates you want to travel. So if I find that the dates I need to travel are pretty high for flights, then my next step is to check on bundle pricing.

What’s bundle pricing? It is another fantastic way to SAVE on travel! If you know you need a flight and will need housing, then head to one of the many discount travel sites and choose to search “bundle & save”. I find that Expedia usually has the best prices and I also earn rewards by booking my travel through them. So, they are definitely my top choice when planning. By simply searching as a package deal instead of your flight and hotel separately you can save tons of money! If you don’t believe me, try looking them up separately and then trying it together.

I truly have so many more tips to share with you, but I don’t want to overwhelm you in one post! Stay tuned for more travel tips and secrets.

Enjoy…

I was not compensated at all for this post. These are my honest opinions and what I truly do to save on travel.
